Tracking resources, alerts and communications.

Integrative Preparedness

The Alaska Tracking Resources, Alerts and Communications System (AKTracs) is an integrated, web-based platform for supporting the daily and incident-specific response operations of the state of Alaska’s public health preparedness community.

Users have individualized access to mission-critical information appropriate for their roles, including but not limited to bed counts, pharmaceutical and resource inventories and tracking, hospital diversion updates, alerts, and notifications.

AKTracs uses multiple modes of messaging, chat rooms and documents transfer to share information, facilitate asset allocation and promote decision-making during daily operations or in an emergency situation. This data-driven system is scalable to suit the needs of healthcare facilities, and public health preparedness and response entities across Alaska.

The Section of Health Emergency Response Operations within the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services has a mission to ensure Alaska can prepare for, respond to, and recover from public health emergencies, threats and disasters.
